We can only accept one person from any organisation due to the experiential content of the course. All days include lunch.
Course details
This course is designed for anyone who works in or wishes to develop their skills in grief, loss and bereavement.
The four days will cover such issues as understanding loss, models of grief, spirituality and communication skills. Participants will be encouraged to work experientially as well as considering the theoretical aspects of this work.
Course leader:
Karen Cook, Bereavement Support Service Manager
Karen joined the team in 2003. She manages a team of 30 bereavement support volunteers and counsellors and carries her own complex bereavement case load. She holds the AQA/CSCT Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Psychodynamic) and is BACP Accredited.
