Sport Challenges Help Raise Funds For Hospice Appeal

SPORT CHALLENGES HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR HOSPICE APPEAL

A Computing firm based in Pride Park has pledged to raise at least £10,000 for a Derbyshire hospice.

Orchid Business Computing will be supporting Risley-based Treetops Hospice with a series of fund-raising events.

Business partners James Twigg and Brett Critchley have already taken part in a five-a-side tournament at Pride Park which raised several hundred pounds.

Orchid's pledge to help Treetops continued on a football theme as, along with Derby's Flint Bishop Solicitors, they donated 50 tickets for the Derby County clash with Fulham game on March 29. Another fund-raising event will take place on Saturday, May 17, at Derby Pride Park with an 11-a-side match between staff from Orchid Business Computing and Flint Bishop Solicitors.

Treetops Hospice's Kate Shaw said: "We are delighted to have Orchid Business Computing on board. They are so committed to helping raise funds for the much-needed new care centre".

Orchid managing director Brett Critchley said: "What they are doing at Treetops Hospice is unbelievable."
