£1,000 PRESENT FROM GOLDEN COUPLE'S PARTY

A Kind-hearted couple from Derby chose to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary by raising more than £1,000
for charity.
Sarah Collis, 71, and husband Howard, 72, of Allestree Lane, celebrated the occasion with a party for
friends and relatives at the British Legion Club in Cornhill, Allestree.
The event, organised by son Leigh and his
wife, Joanne, included a raffle and a charity auction.
Prizes were donated by Wilkinsons, the Beauty Room, Asda, BMI, Shirland Golf Club and Debenhams, and raised
£1,020.
The couple decided to donate the money to Treetops Hospice in Risley.
Mrs Collis said: "The hospice
cared for two friends of ours. Everyone was so grateful for their wonderful help."
