CITY FIRM PLEDGES TO RAISE CASH FOR HOSPICE
07:30 15 October 2008

A DERBY distribution company has started raising cash for a hospice from monthly dress down days.

Pattonair, of Longbridge Lane, Ascot Business Park, has chosen to support the Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal.

On the last Friday of every month, employees will be charged £1 each to wear whatever they want to work.

The company, whose biggest customer is Rolls-Royce, has pledged to match whatever funds are raised.

The appeal is raising funds to help the building a new day care centre at Treetops Hospice in Risley. The centre will enable the hospice, which provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses, to support hundreds more patients each year.
