SANDIACRE'S Harmony Dance and Theatre School has donated £100 to The Treetops Hospice Ripple
Appeal.
Following the school's successful launch in September 2007, Harmony hosted its first dance show in July.
Principals, Alexandra Tavener and Gemma Griffiths, decided to donate funds raised in the raffle to The Treetops
Hospice Ripple Appeal.
Alexandra explains: "The reason for choosing this charity was that Christine Hewitt, who regularly takes the
fees for us, lost her mum, Gwynneth Hales last month.
"Christine's mum was a regular visitor to the Treetops Hospice and they provided a great support to Gwynneth."
Despite her struggle with lung cancer, she attended the school's debut performance in which daughter, Christine
participated.
