STAFF from a local pub group have taken to the skies in a parachute jump in aid of a Derbyshire hospice.
Five managers from Derbyshire pub group, called Probably the best pubs in the World, took the plunge from 6,000ft at Langar
Airfield, Nottinghamshire, in aid of the Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal.
The pubs involved included the Risley Park, Risley, and the Bull's Head, Derby, and helped raise £1,500 for Treetops.
Those who did the jump were pub managers Oliver Munyard, Rob Earlam, Tim Gough, Gavin Hird and Kim Taylor.
Mike Staniforth, director of Probably a Pub Company Ltd, said: "We know that the monies raised will make such a difference
to many people."
Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal is raising funds for a new building at the hospice in Risley which provides specialist palliative
care to people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease.
Kate Shaw and Lily Grant, Ripple Appeal fund-raisers, said: "It is fantastic to have the support of our local pub group.
They are such an inspirational group of people."
