RESIDENTS are being asked to donate £2 a month to help fund an extension at a hospice.
Treetops, in Risley, has decided to introduce a '£2 plus challenge' as part of its final push to raise the
£300,000 needed to pay for the work.
The charity's Ripple Appeal has recently unveiled plans for the £1m extension which would see 60% more guests
being able to use the Derby Road site.
Appeal organiser Kate Shaw said: "What would people be giving up for £2? A Sunday newspaper? Small glass of
wine in the pub? We are asking for just £2 a month by standing order as part of our final push."
Treetops provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple
sclerosis and motor neurone disease.
