FIVE ARE IN THE RUNNING TO RAISE MONEY FOR HOSPICE
07:30 28 April 2009

A FLAVOUR of France helped raise money for a Derbyshire charity at the Derby 10K run.

Benedicte Ballouhey- McQueen, who was visiting for the weekend from Paris, decided to join Treetops Hospice's Ripple Appeal team to run the race.

The 39-year-old was joined by her husband, Dan McQueen, sisters-in-law Sarah McQueen and Kate Shaw, who is the Risley-based charity's Ripple Appeal manager, and brother-in-law John McQueen.

Mother-of-three Benedicte said: "I've heard about the fantastic work the hospice does and I wanted to do my bit."

Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal is raising funds for a new building at the hospice in Risley, which provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease
