FREEMASONS GIVE CASH TO RIPPLE FUND
07:30, 29 June 2009

FREEMASONS have donated £250 to a Derbyshire charity.

Pioneer Lodge 9065 in Belper has given the money to the Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal, which is raising money for a new day care centre at its Risley home.

Ian Clark, a member of the Lodge, recommended the appeal for a charity donation because his wife is a volunteer at one of the 10 Treetops shops.

Mr Clark said: "The lodge is delighted to be supporting their local hospice, which does such a good job in the community."

Kate Shaw, Ripple Appeal manager, said: "We are extremely grateful to Mr Clark and the Pioneer Lodge for their kind donation."

Treetops provides palliative care for people with life limiting illness such as cancer and multiple sclerosis.

For more information call Kate Shaw or Lily Grant on 0115 9394551.
