A FUND-RAISING manager for a Derbyshire charity has been short-listed for a prestigious award.

Kate Shaw, Treetops Hospice's Ripple Appeal manager, has made it through to the final of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Enterprising Women and Excellence Awards.

She has been short-listed in the Enterprising Women in the Community category.

The Enterprising Women network will announce the winners in its first ever Excellence Awards on Friday, at Eastwood Hall Hotel and Conference Centre.

Mrs Shaw said: "I am thrilled to be nominated and to have reached the final selection".

The Award categories are Enterprising Business Woman of the Year, Enterprising Woman in the Community and Enterprising Woman with Determination.
