A MUSIC festival has raised more than £2,000 for a Derbyshire charity.
Beefstock, which was held on a working farm, saw performances from bands such as W05, Steve Bounds and Omen Searcher,
backed up by DJ John Groom and MC Phil Matthews of Ram FM.
Donations from the day have been given
to the Ripple Appeal by Treetops Hospice in Risley
Jessica Pollit and Alastair Boden, organisers
of the event, said: "We would like to thank all our guests for coming along and contributing to what was a truly wonderful
event – an event for the people, by the people.
"It means a lot to be able to support
our local hospice in raising funds for their new day care centre."
Treetops' Ripple Appeal is raising funds for a new centre at its Risley base. The
charity provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and
motor neurone disease.
Kate Shaw and Lily Grant, from the appeal, said: "It was a fantastic
day.
"We are so grateful to Jessica and Alastair and all those who attended and helped with
the event for their generosity."
