RUGBY STARS BOOST HOSPICE APPEAL
16:13, 11 August 2009
NOTTINGHAM Rugby Club players joined an event to help raise funds for a hospice's
day centre appeal.
Treetops Hospice, based at Risley, near Ilkeston, wants to recruit runners
for a team to take part in the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running.
Money raised will go towards
its bid to build a new day centre for people with life-limiting diseases.
An event at the Victoria
Centre saw treadmills and a surf board simulator installed to encourage people to sign up.
Members
of the Nottingham Rugby team were among those who turned up to try out the facilities.
