CREATIVE ACTIVITIES

Creative Therapy session at Treetops Hospice day care

Each Day Care guest at Treetops Hospice has the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of creative activities. Many guests who say they have no creative or art abilities have found new skills they didn’t know they had, with the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers.

Whether it is knitting, painting, card making or silk scarf painting there is always something to try your hand at. The staff and volunteers are always willing to learn new skills and are often introduced to new ones by the guests.

Art work produced is displayed in the Day Care unit and many are proud to see their pieces put on show for all to see. Guests produce scarves to give or sell to family and friends. Many people around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, the UK and the world are wearing scarves painted by guests at Treetops Hospice. One even belongs to Royalty as HRH Duchess of Gloucester was presented with a scarf by a guest during the official opening of the Day Care unit.
