Treetops Hospice Care provides nursing care and emotional support for adults across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire diagnosed with a life limiting illness and their families and carers. The hospice lottery has been running since 1996, raising over £4million from the weekly draw for the hospice during this time.
The weekly lottery rollover prize increases by £200 each week that it’s not won, with the current prize winnings standing at £9,800. If the rollover is not won in the next fortnight, on Friday 6 July somebody will be a guaranteed winner of the top £10,000 prize.
An incredibly exciting time
The rollover prize has not been this high since December 2014 as Rebecca Lee-Jones, sales & marketing assistant at Treetops Lottery explained:
“This is an incredibly exciting time for us here at Treetops Lottery as we get closer and closer to the jackpot week.
“The roll-over prize is chosen from all the numbers from the Lottery’s database. If an active lottery number is drawn then the prize is won. If an unallocated number is drawn, the value of the prize rolls over to the following week’s prize pot – which is how the jackpot has got so high.
“This continues until a winner is found or the roll-over reaches £10,000, at which point it is guaranteed to be won so on Friday 6 July, we will be calling one lucky winner to tell them they’ve won £10,000 which will be fantastic!
Fun way to support the hospice
“Playing the Treetops Lottery is a fun way to support the hospice. All proceeds go to the hospice and the lottery provides a steady source of income that the hospice can rely on to provide its services to those that need it in the local community.”
It costs just £1 to play the Treetops Lottery and there are also 12 other cash prizes up for grabs every week.
Tickets can be purchased from any of the Treetops retail shops before midday every Tuesday or from the main hospice reception in Risley before 11am each Wednesday.
Alternatively, people can become a Treetops Lottery member and join online. Players must be aged 16 and over.
Treetops services include Support and Information, a Day Care Unit, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
