Salary: c.£50,000 pa

Treetops Hospice Care is a forward-thinking charity, delivering high quality care and support to people in Nottingham and Derbyshire. Our services reach almost 2000 people affected by a life-limiting illness every year and provide much needed support not only to them but also to their families and carers.

Treetops Hospice Care has a local, regional and national reputation for excellence and innovation in palliative and end of life care. Our core Services include a wide range of Wellbeing activities to support every stage of life-limiting illness, Therapeutic Services including adult and child counselling and Hospice at Home supporting patients and families in the last few days and weeks of life. Going forward, we have an ambitious programme of development and growth including opening our first In-Patient Unit.

The people we support have free access to the care we provide. This is only possible through the generosity of our community. In this financial year, it will cost almost £4.1m to run Treetops Hospice Care (over £11k per day). Whilst we have an excellent relationship with the Clinical Commissioning Groups from whom we receive NHS funding, over £3m of this will need to be raised through voluntary donations.

We are seeking someone with the determination and experience to enable our ambitions and to grow the resources we need to achieve and sustain these; someone who will build on our strengths and introduce fresh approaches to generating income and lead the development of our income generation strategies.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with strong leadership and management skills with a successful track record of income generation and change management including an understanding of retail and lottery operations. Demonstrating strategic vision, commitment and enthusiasm, they will have an innovative approach and lead their team to achieve great things.

To flourish in this challenging role, he/she will need to fully embrace the values of Treetops Hospice Care.

This appointment is crucial for the hospice and we will be careful to select the right person. We appreciate it is an important decision for you too, so if you would like to know more, please contact Julie Heath, Chief Executive on 0115 9491264.
