Dains Accountants, based on the Wyvern Business Park, are firing blue powder paint at those who walk, skip or run their way around the sponsored 3km route through Markeaton Park. Participants will also make their way through red, green and orange colour stations.
The Colour Rush starts at 1pm and is part of a fun-packed Family Fun Day running from 11.00am to 4.00pm featuring live music from Furthest from the Sea, fairground rides, bouncy castles, games, food stalls, candy floss and a prosecco bar.
A really fitting tribute
Dain’s chose Treetops as their Charity of the Year after an employee received nursing care at home from the hospice.
Jenny Moore, senior manager in the corporate finance team, explained more:
“We had a colleague, Paul, who sadly passed away last year and he used the Hospice at Home service in his last few months. The family have told us that they found the help invaluable.
“We always choose a charity of the year as an office and it seemed a really fitting tribute to Paul that we chose Treetops this year and do as much as we can to help and raise money for the hospice.
“Our staff are volunteering on the day to man the blue station as it’s our corporate colour and they’re really excited. I’m also taking part with my family and we’re all really looking forward to it.”
The orange colour station has been kindly sponsored by RDS Global.
Treetops Hospice Care services include Support and Information, a Day Care unit, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
Online registration for the Colour Rush closes at 9am on Friday 14 July (£15 – adults, £10 – children and a group ticket (2 adults and 2 children) – £40)
