The Stairs of Doom, the Mangle, a 12m Holy Cow Maze and a foam station are amongst the ten inflatable obstacles facing a team of staff from Routen Chaplin on this summer’s KAPOW! Superhero Challenge.

Routen Chaplin, Independent Commercial & Personal Insurance Brokers, have been supporters of Treetops Hospice Care for several years and jumped at the chance to become #SuperHospiceHeroes on Sunday 1 September at Markeaton Park.

The fun-filled, sponsored event is the only event of its kind taking place in the East Midlands this summer. The event will raise vital funds for Treetops which supports adults with life limiting conditions, and their families, living in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Kirsty Cole, commercial account handler, is leading Team Routen Chaplin with fellow colleagues Hannah Matchett, Jo Wass and Michelle Beecroft.

We couldn’t think of a more worthwhile cause to support

Kirsty explained why Treetops is so important to the business:

“We chose to continuously support this amazing organisation because the support they provide to our local community, helping families experiencing challenging times, is invaluable.

“As a business, we’ve taken part in fire and ice walks, hosted Tea for Treetops and walked the Starlight Strut. We couldn’t think of a more worthwhile cause to support and are proud members of the Treetops Business Club.

“Taking part in KAPOW! is another way we can raise money and show our support for the charity and we’re really looking forward to it!”

There are ten KAPOW! Superhero Challenge inflatable obstacles along a 5km route that adults and children can run, jog or walk around. Registration is now open with tickets for adults £30, children £25 and groups of four £95.

The KAPOW! Superhero Challenge is being sponsored by Western Power Distribution and Ward Recycling.

Treetops services include Support and Information, Wellbeing Space, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
