Kathryn Box launches the Accumulator Challenge

Forget paintballing or building a bridge out of newspaper - how could your business turn £100 into thousands in a new team-building charity challenge?

This is the challenge being set to local businesses by Treetops Hospice Care in their new Accumulator Challenge launched this month. Those taking part will be given the seed money and asked to be as creative and business-savvy as possible with their ideas.

The Accumulator Challenge is the brainchild of Kathryn Box, corporate fundraiser at Treetops which provides nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions.

Use existing business skills in a completely different way

Kathryn explained:

“This is a completely new challenge which will appeal to businesses of all sizes and across all sectors – it can be completely tailored to suit everyone.

“It’s simple really – we’ll give you £100 starter money and you turn it into as much money as possible in the most creative and unusual ways possible.

“It’s a great way for staff to have fun, do some team-building, generate some – friendly! – team rivalry and use existing business skills in a completely different way. It’s also a great way to promote a business and their corporate social responsibility to the public and their customers – even get them involved if they like!

We’d love to hear from businesses large and small

“As long as it’s legal and ethical, any way that businesses can raise the money during October is welcome! It would be fantastic to raise £10,000 through the challenge so we’d love to hear from businesses large and small who would like to get involved.”

Treetops services include Support and Information, a Day Care unit, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
