Treetops Car Raffle  FAQs

How do I enter the car raffle??

You may receive a mailing pack in the post containing raffle tickets for the car raffle. Simply fill out your details on the ticket stubs, complete the entry form and return all ticket stubs, along with your payment, in the pre-paid envelope provided.

Alternatively, you can purchase your entries online. No hard copies of receipts or tickets for online entries will be sent in the post. You will receive your entry numbers via email.

How much is an entry into the raffle?

Each entry for the car raffle costs £1.

Where can I find my raffle entry numbers?

If you have received a car raffle pack in the post, this will contain your raffle ticket booklet, each ticket will have a unique number printed on it. However, to make sure that your postal entries are entered into the draw, you will need to return your entries and payment back to us by post before the deadline date.

Entries purchased online will receive their unique raffle entry numbers via email within 72 hours.

What are the prizes?

1st Prize Toyota Aygo X Edge – Worth £17,000
Approximate retail value of £17,000. The promoter does not in any way guarantee the value of this prize. No cash alternative will be available. Model, colour, and specification of prize vehicle may differ to images used or details described due to prize availability. We intend to supply the first prize winner with a brand new ‘73’ plate Toyota Aygo X Edge in Juniper Blue. 1.0 Petrol. Manual 5-speed. Front wheel drive.

2nd Prize £2,000 paid via cheque within 14 days of draw date.

3rd Prize 4 x tickets for the BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIPS at Donington Park (GP) for the weekend of 21 & 22 October 2023.

Plus 20 x £50 prizes paid via cheque within 14 days of draw date.

Is there a cash alternative?

No cash alternative will be available for the prizes in this raffle. Prizes are all as stated and are non-transferable and non-negotiable.

If I were to win the car, could I gift it to a friend or family member?

The person named on the raffle entry will be the only person entitled to claim the prize.

However, the person that the car is registered to on collection can be anyone nominated by the winner. The registered keeper must have a full UK drivers’ licence and insurance in order to register the vehicle.

Can anyone enter the Car raffle?

To purchase entries and enter the car raffle you must be aged 18 years or over and a resident in Great Britain. If it is found that entries have been purchased by a person under aged 18, these will be forfeited. Due to Gambling Commission regulations this raffle is only open to residents of Great Britain and not residents of Northern Ireland, Ireland, The Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man.

Employees of Treetops Hospice, Ron Brooks (Holdings) Ltd or any of their subsidiary companies are not permitted to enter the car raffle.

Can you claim Gift Aid on my car raffle entry purchase??

Unfortunately not, car raffle entries do not qualify for Gift Aid.

However, if you make a donation with your purchase, we can claim Gift Aid on this donation. If you are eligible for and complete the Gift Aid declaration on the entry form, we can claim Gift Aid on your behalf. Please read the declaration regarding Gift Aid carefully to ensure you are eligible.

Is there a limit on the number of entries I can purchase?

Raffle participants may purchase up to 50 entries per person maximum at the charity’s discretion.

Can I enter as a syndicate?

Entries must be purchased by an individual person and not by a company, partnership, organisation, or syndicate.

How are the winners decided?

The draw will take place on 1st September 2023 at the charity’s Head Office and will be run by officials of the charity using a random number generator.

What happens if the winner is not contactable?

If the winner is not contactable by telephone, the winner will be informed by post.

If a prize winner does not respond within a reasonable time (maximum 4 weeks), Treetops Hospice reserves the right to apply any prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.

If the Treetops is informed that the prize winner is deceased, any prize won will only be reissued to the deceased’s personal representatives (supporting documentation will be required).

When do entries into the car raffle close?

Payment for entries must be received by Treetops Hospice by noon on 30th August 2023. Online entries will close at 12 noon on 30th August 2023. Payments received after this date will be taken as a donation and will not be included in the draw.

How will I know if I have won?

Winners will be notified by telephone by Treetops Hospice staff within one week of the draw. If the winner is not contactable by telephone, the winner will be informed by post. The winner’s entry number, name and town will be also published on the Treetops Hospice website.

If I win, do I have to participate in promotional exercises?

By entering this raffle, you are agreeing to cooperate with any press and PR requested by Treetops Hospice as the result of a win. Treetops Hospice has the right to publish a win where and when is deemed appropriate including local and national press, to include the name and town of the winner.

How do you use my personal data?

The charity does not pass on or sell any details it holds about its supporters to any third party. Data that is collected from you is used to process your entry to the charity car raffle.

Is the car raffle a separate draw to the weekly Treetops Lottery draw?

Yes, the Car raffle is a separate draw. Entering the Car raffle does not mean you are entered into any other lottery / raffle run by Treetops Hospice.
