Staff and volunteers at Treetops Hospice Care charity shop in Duffield are welcoming customers to help them celebrate their first year open to the public.

The shop, based in Eyes Court on Town Street, is popular with local residents and regulars keen to snap up a bargain. Proceeds from the shop go to supporting Treetops Hospice Care, a hospice which provides nursing care and emotional support for adults in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Shop manager, Paul Sheldon, assistant manager Tamara Robinson, and their volunteer team are looking forward to a week of celebrations including a 20% off sale.

Paul said:

“As from Monday 5 February, we’re offering customers 20% off all items in the shop as well as a chance to play in our tombola and enjoy our Valentine’s Day displays.

“It’s a wonderful shop with many regulars and we really feel the community supports us and the hospice. I know from talking to customers that Treetops has helped many local people, their families and neighbours.”

We have been warmly welcomed into the village

Treetops retail manager, Sara McLuckie, added:

“Introducing our shop into Duffield has been so positive for us as the hospice retail department. We have been warmly welcomed into the village, for which we are very grateful and we are very proud of Paul, Tamara and the team for all they have done this year to make ‘Treetops Duffield’ a success for the hospice.

“We have sixteen shops and two cafes based all across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and we always welcome enquiries from people interested in volunteering with us.”

The Duffield charity shop is open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4.45pm.
