Children, adults and families taking part will be showered in blue, red, orange and green powder paints at colour stations as they make their way along the 3k route through the park.
Last year, the sponsored event raised over £20,000 for Treetops Hospice Care which provides nursing care and emotional support for adults and their families across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The Colour Rush, starting at 1pm, is just one part of a packed Family Fun Day running from 11.00am to 4.00pm featuring live music from Furthest from the Sea, fairground rides, bouncy castles, games, food stalls, candy floss and a prosecco bar.
Have a fun time whilst raising money and awareness

Anna & Archie Rich
Last year, first across the Colour Rush finish line was Archie Rich from Shardlow who took part with his mum Anna.
Anna, a lymphoedema nurse at Queens Medical Centre, explained why they decided to take part:
“I think the Colour Rush is special as it’s something local and I know how much the hospice touches people’s lives.
“In my role, I look after patients from across the whole of Nottinghamshire and several of them go to the Treetops Day Care Unit in Risley. They always tell me how much they enjoy going and that they love the place.
“It’s great that we can have such a fun time whilst raising money and awareness for such a good cause.”
Treetops provided some much needed respite and support

Also taking part were ‘Jean’s Angels Team’ from Quality Home Care in Alvaston, Derby who took part in memory of their late client Jean Beavis from Derby.
Assistant manager, Karen Taylor said:
“We first met Jean when she came home from hospital on end of life care. Jean’s wish was to be cared for in her own home surrounded by her loving family and friends.
“We were able to ensure that Jean was cared for with dignity, compassion and respect and towards the end, Treetops provided some much needed respite and support to the family overnight which gave them the opportunity to rest during this very difficult time.
“The Colour Rush was brilliant today and really good fun whilst also raising money for a good cause.”
Those interested in taking part in the Colour Rush can register online. Advance registration costs £15 for adults, £10 for children and a group ticket (2 adults and 2 children) costs £40. Participants are encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible. Tickets can be purchased on the day at an increased price.
Entry to the fun day is free.
