A unique corporate fundraising challenge has been kick-started by the support of leading local company Royal Crown Derby.

Treetops Hospice is looking for 100 businesses to each donate £100 to the charity, in the hope of raising £10,000.

Spearheading the Photo-Logo 100 Challenge is Treetops volunteer and furry mascot Nicholas Bear. In return for the £100 donation, Nicholas will appear in a photograph promoting the company’s logo and products, which will then be published on the Treetops Hospice website and social media.

Nicholas visited visit the Derby-based company on Wednesday 7 May to have his picture taken and thank the firm for their £100 donation.

Angela Stafford, corporate fundraiser for Treetops Hospice, said: “The Photo-Logo 100 Challenge is a fun way for businesses to support a local charity. I am delighted such a well-known company like Royal Crown Derby has signed up. I really would urge others to join and help us raise £10,000 – this money would enable Treetops to deliver so much valuable care.”

Treetops Hospice is an independent hospice located in Risley, South Derbyshire. The charity provides palliative care for adults with life-limiting illnesses and supports a catchment area of over one million people in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
