Nottingham-based Gamestec Playnation Group were delighted to present a cheque for over £4,000 to local charity, Treetops Hospice Care, following a huge fundraising effort with staff, customers and partners.

With an original target of just £1,000, the staff team were delighted with the results from a large-scale raffle and a charity bike ride taken on by staff member, Peter Smith.

Treetops provides nursing care and emotional support for adults with life limiting conditions living in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Last year, the charity supported over 1,800 adults with life limiting illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis.

Very proud to have raised so much

Peter Davies, managing director of Gamestec Playnation said:

“We believe in giving back to our local community and Treetops Hospice Care really played to our hearts. It’s a fantastic charity and we are very proud to have raised so much for them.

“Our teams have worked incredibly hard to pull together this event and due to the generosity of our customers and product partners who donated prizes for the event, we have seen a huge demand for tickets from within our business.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of those who have donated prizes, and to all of those that have taken part.

“A big thanks to Rachael Espinoza and Julie Taylor for pulling together the raffle and for their fantastic organization and ticket sales prowess and also a well done to Peter Smith for completing his challenging bike ride.”

A pleasure to work alongside such a dedicated team

Laura McWha, corporate partnerships fundraiser for Treetops said:

“We are delighted with the total raised by the Gamestec and Playnation team. The effort and commitment from staff put into this fundraiser really shows how much they support Treetops Hospice Care.

“We can’t thank them enough for organising such a successful raffle and bike ride and the money will go a long way ensuring we can continue to offer our free services to adults and their families in the local area.

“It has been a pleasure to work alongside such a dedicated team who want to support their local hospice.”
