Registration FAQs
Why isn't my postcode being recognised?
If your postcode isn’t listed on the registration form, we’re unfortunately not collecting trees in your area this year. Our Treecycling scheme continues to grow each year, so please check back next year!
Can I book more than one collection?
You can book as many collections as you like if you have more than one tree. Our example donation amount is for one tree only.
Can I give my donation to the person who collects my tree?
It is more secure to donate online. Volunteers are not permitted to carry cheques or cash.
Do you only take real trees?
Yes, only real trees will be collected. Please remove any decorations, bases or stands, as these cannot be recycled as part of our Treecycling scheme.
Collection FAQs
When will my tree be collected?
Collections will take place on January 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a specific date or time. The collection is run by volunteers who are giving up their time to collect your tree and support Treetops.
Do I need to be present for collection?
No, just leave your tree in your designated place ready for us to collect. Please contact us if you need to leave your tree somewhere different to where you stated on registration.
For Health and Safety purposes, our volunteers are unable to enter your property under any circumstances. Please ensure your tree is not behind locked gates and is clearly visible from the road.
Who is collecting my Christmas tree?
We have a wonderful team of volunteers who are giving up their time to collect your tree.
What about adverse weather conditions?
The weather can be unpredictable! As long as conditions are safe for our volunteers, we will endeavour to collect your tree within the specified dates.
If we need to postpone collecting your tree, you will receive an email advising you of the new collection dates.
Why hasn't my tree been collected?
If you received an email confirming your registration and your tree hasn’t been collected by Wednesday 10 January, please contact us on vic@treetops.org.uk or 07476 800762.
If you don't let us know by 6pm on Thursday 11 January, we cannot guarantee that your tree will be collected and you will not be refunded.
