Tea for Treetops Fundraising Information

We would like to start by thanking you for hosting a Tea for Treetops party!

Treetops needs to raise almost 70% of its running costs – more than £3 million each year – through donations and events, and we couldn’t do it without you, our fabulous Tea Party fundraisers!

You’ll find everything you need on this page to help with your fundraising efforts. If you are doing anything fun or creative to help boost donations, please do let us know – we’d love to talk to you to see if we can feature you in our PR and social media campaigns.

Resources to help you raise funds

Print Your Own Promotional Materials 

An exciting update for this year’s Tea for Treetops is our new free service that enables you to customise and print your own invitation poster to help you promote your Tea for Treetops event. Simply head to the link below to register for a FREE account, fill in your details and download and print out your materials. Share them on social media and in your local community to let people know you’re hosting a party:

Why not put up a poster at work, at your gym or exercise class, your school or community group, or even your local cafe or pub to let as many people as possible know about your tea party, and boost attendance and donations!

JustGiving

JustGiving is one of the best and easiest ways to raise and collect funds from your donors. You can get people to pay their admission in advance by donating to your JustGiving campaign, or even make a larger donation for an extra large slice of cake on the day! This is also a great way for friends and family who can’t make your event to still make a donation and support you.

Don’t forget – JustGiving pages with the following features are much more successful at getting sponsorship and hitting their fundraising targets:

• A profile picture – it’s easier for people to identify that they are donating to the right Debbie or Sue, so they’re more likely to donate
• A target naturally encourages people to help you reach and surpass it. If you hosted a Tea for Treetops event last year, why not try and beat your previous total?
• A page summary – telling your story, if only briefly, helps people to connect with your cause
• Photos and updates – pages with 3+ updates are shown to be much more successful as people like to see your journey. Why not post pics of your pre-party baking bonanza or your G&Tea shopping spree? And of course pictures of your fabulous party!

Share Online

Share your JustGiving page on your social media channels and don’t forget to share your story too. Do you have a special connection with Treetops? Are you hosting a mad hatters themed fancy dress tea party? Or encouraging some healthy competition amongst your nearest and dearest with a bake off? Engage your family and friends with your reasons and your journey – it encourages interest and donations.

Ask Your Employer for Support

How about hosting a Tea for Treetops event at work? Many companies will also match donations raised by their employees to registered charities. Check with your manager or HR department if this is something they would be willing to do.
