The results were revealed in the Derby Telegraph alongside all finalists in the prestigious annual awards. The Not-for-Profit category celebrates the best of the county’s many not-for-profit organisations that make a difference to the community.
Treetops, which has 158 employees and over 600 volunteers, has been providing nursing care and emotional support for adults and their families across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for over 30 years.
Good to be recognised within the community
Treetops chief executive, George Cameron, said:
“I am delighted that Treetops Hospice Care has been shortlisted in the Not for Profit category of the prestigious Derby Telegraph Business Awards. It is good to be recognised within the community we serve and look forward to the awards ceremony on Wednesday 13 June when the results are revealed.”
Every year, the local newspaper runs the Business Awards to identify the cream of the city and county’s businesses, including local not-for-profit organisations and charities. This year, the Not-for-Profit Award category has been sponsored by Sellick Partnership.
Earlier this year, Treetops was ranked 6th in the top ten of the 100 ‘Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For’ by the Sunday Times for the second year running.
Treetops Hospice Care services include Support and Information, a Day Care Unit, Hospice at Home nurses and Therapeutic Services including counselling, art therapy and complementary therapy.
