Long service awards at Treetops Hospice

We were very proud to present sixteen staff and volunteers with long service awards totalling 310 years of dedication and support.

Over half the volunteers and staff who received awards are based in our charity shops located across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Pat Thomson, charity shop volunteer

Amongst those who received awards was Pat Thomson. Pat began volunteering for us 35 years ago, when the charity was just being set up in the local community.

Pat began by helping in our very first charity shop located in our main hospice building. She later went to volunteer in the Sandiacre charity shop when it opened its doors to the public.

She was also a trustee for several years focussing on fundraising.

We are indebted to people like Pat whose vision, passion and dedication to Treetops help make the hospice what it is today.
