Reflecting on our 40th anniversary year

Julie Heath, Treetops Chief Executive, reflects on the care, support and 'whirlwind of activity' that took place during our 40th anniversary year.

Treetops cared for hundreds of local people and their families in the community during 2023 thanks to our wonderful supporters, donors, volunteers and staff.

Celebrating 40 years of care in 2023

In 1983, a group of locals recognised that our region needed its own hospice. The community pulled together and Treetops became a reality. Since then, we now look after over 2,000 people every year.

Patient Stories

Treetops Hospice is a registered charity, which costs £4.3 million each year to run. We have to raise 70% of this, £8,300 a day, through voluntary donations, our shops, fundraising events, lottery memberships and gifts in wills.
