Famously known as the Swift Half!
Hop on board a bus, taking in the sights of Derbyshire as you are transported to the start line of this beautiful half marathon.
The route undulates along the tops of the dales for the first 8 miles or so, then descends (that’s right, goes downhill!) in three stages, at 7, 8½ and 10½ miles down to High Peak Junction on the Cromford Canal.
This half marathon is perfect for first timers looking for glorious scenery and an achievable challenge.
This isn’t known as the “swift half” for nothing, the total descent is about 800 feet, and with no steep uphill stretches, it provides the potential for fast times.
That means that even if you're a seasoned runner, it's perfect for personal bests!
