Treetops Hospice provides end of life nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions, bereaved people of all ages, and their families.
As an event fundraiser you will work with two Relationships Managers and an Assistant, to develop and deliver a varied event calendar including the Moonlight Walk, Treecycling, running events and challenges. Your responsibilities will be varied from assisting with event logistics to carrying out in-person promotions; stewarding supporters to coordinating an event; recruiting event volunteers to updating supporter records.
This role gives you the potential to learn and develop a variety of skills and provides a strong foundation for a career in fundraising or events.
Previous experience in a fundraising or event role would be advantageous but certainly is not a requirement. We know that many people from differing work backgrounds will have the transferrable skills required. For example, you may be a volunteer organiser of a park run or sporting event, organise music or social events, have a qualification in event management and looking for your first role, or have worked in sales, hospitality, or university RAG.
You will be based in the office and go out into the community as needed. On occasions you will work early mornings, evenings and weekends – time will be given back for this.
Car owner/driver essential.
To apply please upload your CV at treetops.org.uk/vacancies and tell us about your reasons for your application.
Selection process:
Stage 1: A preliminary conversation on Teams
Stage 2: Formal interview at the hospice, no later than 31st July 2025.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy once sufficient suitable applications have been received. We advise applying early to avoid disappointment as applications will be reviewed regularly.
If you do not hear from us, please assume your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion. However, do keep an eye on our website for future employment and volunteering opportunities.
