Closing date:
We’re recruiting a fundraiser to support the people, businesses and organisations who raise money for Treetops. We are happy to consider part-time for this role – if you wish to apply on this basis, please tell us
We’re looking for someone who is
- Outgoing, confident and self-motivated
- Enjoys building relationships and inspiring others
- Has experience in fundraising, sales, retail or hospitality
- Can drive and has access to a car for work
- Has excellent IT and organisational skills
As a community fundraiser, you will support the people, businesses and organisations who raise money for Treetops. We’re looking for someone who loves people, with an outgoing personality, who can walk into a room and make friends. Someone who can help to make Treetops famous in our local community.
As part of our Community Engagement Team, you will have good IT skills, be organised, self-motivated and ambitious. You will have the confidence to recruit new supporters by knocking on doors and popping into pubs, doctors’ surgeries, shops, factories, and offices. You’ll chat with community leaders; talk in assemblies, staff meetings and community groups. Reacting quickly to opportunities – advising people on their fundraising, recruiting onto Treetops events and passing leads to colleagues.
Previous experience in a fundraising role would be advantageous but is not a requirement. We know that many people from differing work backgrounds will have the transferrable skills required. For example, you may be the charity champion in your workplace, have worked in sales, hospitality, retail or university RAG.
You will spend 2-3 days a week in the community and 1-2 days in the hospice in Risley. On occasions you will work early mornings, evenings and weekends – time will be given back for this.
Car owner/driver essential.
