We're encouraging businesses to show their support by sponsoring a week of nursing care for families in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Last year, our Hospice at Home nurses provided more than 23,800 hours of care to terminally-ill patients. We're offering organisations in the area the chance to show they care with the launch of the Sponsor One Week of Nursing Care.
Under the scheme, businesses pledge to raise £7,000 to sponsor one week of our Hospice at Homes nurses caring for patients at end of life in their own homes.
Birds Bakery were the first to sign up to the scheme and have already raised over £10,000. The family-run business also donated cakes for patients attending our Adapted Tai Chi exercise classes and Tears to Laughter bereavement support group.

We are so pleased to have already raised over £10,000 for Treetops. This will help to sponsor over one week of nursing care and further services provided by this amazing charity. We look forward to helping the hospice in further fundraising activities during the coming year.

Lucy Robinson, of East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, said: “Nowadays, it is not enough for a business just to provide jobs. Whether you’re a customer, employee or partner, people want to know that a company cares and it’s not just about profit.
