Donna and her daughter Anja share their experience of Hospice at Home nursing care for Donna's late husband.

"The Hospice at Home care team provided us with support during the worst six weeks of our lives when my husband was dying.
"We had Hospice at Home nurses stay with us overnight on several occasions. This enabled my daughter and I to have some sleep without having to worry about getting up to care for him. They were also happy to chat to us and put our minds at rest and reassure us that we were supporting him in the right way.
"On my husband's last night at home, we also had support from the Roaming Nurses, who were wonderful. Unlike the local district nurses (who were really over-stretched by their workload) these wonderful ladies spent time with my husband and didn't give the impression that they had to rush off to their next patient. They were calm and reassuring."
