Have some Christmassy fun with your children
You can hold your Reindeer Dash at ANYTIME
The Reindeer Dash is a simple way for you to have some Christmassy fun with your children before you break up for the festivities.
You can hold your Reindeer Dash at ANYTIME – Simply pick a date in December that works best for you.
When your children put on their antlers, they turn into Santa’s reindeer.
They’ll also be helping Treetops Hospice to support local children and their families following the death of someone special to them.
What is the Reindeer Dash?
A fun activity that you’re in control of where the children might complete laps of the school grounds with their antlers, incorporate it into PE lesson or dress as a reindeer for the school disco! What ever you choose we want the children to have fun!
While dashing in their activity we hope each reindeer will try to raise at least £5 sponsorship money.
Each child will receive:
- One set of Antlers.
- A sponsorship form
- A certificate on completion of their dash.
What your school or organisation will receive:
- Posters for you to put up so that everyone knows when and what you are doing.
- One Santa suit (adult size)
- Assembly to the school education and introducing what bereavement support is and how their fundraising impacts our community.

How your fundraising helps

New for 2025 if your school raises £2,500 or more, you will receive one FREE place to our Bereavement Training Workshops. Those who can’t and take part in Reindeer Dash will also receive 10% off as a thank you for your support. Our course aims to prepare and equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and awareness to support the bereaved children in a range of contexts.
Proceeds from your Reindeer Dash help provide counselling and emotional support for bereaved children and young people that are users of Treetops Hospice services, or registered with a GP practice in Derby city, Southern Derbyshire or Erewash.
We also offer bespoke bereavement training for schools and other organisations across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
