Creating conversations around dying, death and bereavement
Death Cafe
We’re holding a cafe with a difference – A relaxed drop-in where everyone, including members of the public, staff, volunteers, patients and families can come together to reflect on the culture of dying, and how we talk about it.
We’re delighted to be hosting a Death Cafe in our Wellbeing Space here at Treetops Hospice.
We know the idea might sound unusual but we want to create a friendly, warm and informal space to come together and talk about something many of us are not comfortable discussing.
Let’s talk about dying and death together
We would love you to stop by for a cup of tea, piece of cake and encouraging conversation, about a topic that impacts us all, making it part of life rather than a subject to be avoided.
Our team will be on hand and happy to have a conversation or answer any questions you may have. You will also have an opportunity to get information about power of attorney, finances, future care planning, RESPECT and making a Will.

Treetops Hospice is a registered charity. It costs over £5.7 million a year to keep our doors open, but we only get a little funding from government bodies, roughly 18%. The rest of our funding comes from supporters.
