Mollies is a warm, welcoming monthly support group for anyone living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), as well as their families, friends, and carers. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, supporting a loved one, or simply looking for a safe place to connect, Mollies offers understanding, compassion, and practical support.
At Mollies, you’ll find a space where experiences can be shared openly, questions can be asked freely, and no one has to face MND alone. Each session is relaxed and friendly, bringing together people who truly understand the emotional, physical, and everyday challenges of MND and we are supported by our local MND Nurse Specialist , Specialist Occupational Therapist and our local MNDa Community Support Coordinator.
What to Expect at Mollies
- A supportive community: Meet others who are living with similar experiences and challenges.
- Helpful information: Learn about services, resources, and support available locally and nationally.
- A safe space to talk: Share your thoughts, worries, or wins with people who genuinely get it.
- Refreshments & conversation: We keep things informal—there’s always time for a chat over a cup of tea.
Our support group has been named ‘Mollie’s’ in memory of Mollie Southway from Sandiacre. Mollie, and her husband John, first visited the Café shortly after her diagnosis.
