Treetops Hospice is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred palliative care to patients in their own homes.

This is a rewarding community-based role where you will support individuals and their families at the most important time of their lives, helping them remain at home with dignity, comfort and choice.

About the Role: You will deliver skilled, holistic nursing care to patients with life-limiting illness, working autonomously and in partnership with GPs, District Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will also support families, contribute to service coordination, and help ensure a responsive, compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate end-of-life nursing care in patients’ homes
• Assess, plan and deliver individualised care, including symptom management
• Administer medications and manage clinical interventions (e.g. syringe drivers, catheter care)
• Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and carers. Provide Cover and Support for Wellbeing Services.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide seamless care
• Contribute to care coordination and service delivery within the Hospice at Home team
• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional standards

About You:
• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
• Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience
• Experience in palliative or end-of-life care
• Confident working independently in a community setting
• Excellent communication and compassionate care skills
• Flexible, resilient, and committed to high-quality care

Treetops Hospice is central and southern Derbyshire’s modern hospice charity, delivering expert clinical care throughout the community. Every year, we support thousands of local people and their families as they face some of the hardest moments of their lives. With over 80% of our funding needing to be raised through donations, your support directly powers our nurses, counsellors and end‑of‑life specialists to be there day and night. It takes a community to make a hospice, and with your help, we can ensure no one faces the end of life alone. Treetops Hospice is currently recruiting a Retail Gift Aid and Product Assistant. The main purpose of the role is to generate income for the hospice by supporting stores with gift aid support and by allocating and replenishing, bought in goods. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, flexibility, the ability to lift and carry.  Full driving licence is desirable.  The candidate should be computer literate an able to work with Microsoft excel and word. A background of working with inventory systems would be beneficial, but not essential. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, hardworking retail environment and contribute to Treetops Hospice. The Treetops Lottery is a highly successful form of fundraising for us. Since 1996, the Treetops Lottery and the people that play, have helped to raise over £8million for hospice care. We are looking to expand the team. If you are looking for a role that is flexible, gives you the opportunity to get out and about in your local area and make a real difference to people living with a life-limiting illness in your local community, read on. Main Purpose: To promote Treetops lottery to the public through Door to Door promotions, at events, static venues and Treetops shops. To increase lottery memberships through these promotions. Key Responsibilities: Door to door promotions in the local area to raise awareness of the services that our charity provides Handing out leaflets & giving information about the lottery and the Hospice to the public at allocated venues & events Enlisting new members to the lottery by way of regular giving through monthly direct debits An induction and full training will be given for these activities. This list is not exhaustive.
