Syringe Driver Training

We are offering BD BodyGuard™ T syringe driver training here at Treetops Hospice, for registered nurses and senior healthcare workers. The training will facilitate:

• To increase confidence in delivering end of life care
• To learn what a syringe driver is and identify when a syringe driver might be appropriate
• How to obtain a syringe driver
• Insertion of a sub cut cannula and introduction to administering anticipatory medication
• Correct monitoring and documentation
• To know where to find guidance, resources and support
• Have a go at drawing up medication for a syringe driver and loading into the pump.
• This course will contribute 3 hours of CPD towards NMC Revalidation.

Thursday 28 May 2026 10am – 1pm
Thursday 10 September 2026 10am-1pm
Friday 11 December 2026 10am-1pm

The cost of the session is £64 per person (increasing to £70 on 1 April 2026).

Refreshments will be included.

Alternatively, the training can be run for up to 10 staff in Derbyshire care home for £375 (increasing to £400 on 1 April 2026). For care homes outside of Derbyshire, costs will vary depending on travel and venues. Please get in touch with us for more information on this, so we can discuss your needs.
