What is Treetops Hospice?
Treetops Hospice is an adult hospice in Risley, Derbyshire.
We provide nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions, those who've been bereaved, and their loved ones. Our support is available from diagnosis onwards and is provided free of charge.
One of our services includes counselling and emotional support for children who are struggling after the death of a loved one. We offer support to children registered with a GP in Derby city, southern Derbyshire and Erewash.
How will the new centre help bereaved children?
The new children’s counselling and therapy centre has been built with children, and their parents and carers, in mind. The entire space is welcoming and help put our young visitors at ease from the moment they step through our doors.
The centre includes bespoke rooms for counselling and complementary therapy, and a multi-functional area.
The centre will help traumatically bereaved children across Derbyshire for many years to come. Fundraising activities such as the Reindeer Dash will continue to support our child bereavement services.
