2023 to Present Day
In 2023, we celebrated our 40th anniversary year of caring in the local community, with several events and exciting developments.
In May, we launched a Virtual Tour allowing people to see inside our buildings and grounds.
To celebrate our 40th birthday, we gave away over 3,000 pieces of homemade birthday cake to supporters, volunteers and staff.
Some of the cakes were decorated by patients and counselling clients. They were given out through our Treetops charity shops, to local businesses, and to community groups.
Treetops Chief Executive, Julie Heath, also thanked supporters in a special anniversary video message.
In September, we were thrilled to be chosen by DIY SOS Big Build for Children in Need to build us a brand-new children’s counselling and therapy centre.
Hundreds of local and regional tradespeople and volunteers donated their time, expertise and materials for free to build The Saplings.
This beautiful centre is completely tailored to the needs of bereaved children struggling after the death of a loved one.
