What does a fire safety label look like?

If you are donating upholstered furniture to us, each item must have a fire safety label firmly attached or sewn in.

By law, we cannot sell upholstered furniture without a fire safety label, and our van drivers will have to reject any items that do not have one.

Increase the value of your donated items at no cost to you

Because the items you’re donating were bought with money you’ve already paid tax on, as a charity we can claim this tax back from the Government.

If you donate a sofa and it sells in one of our shops for £100, with Gift Aid we can claim an extra 25%, turning it into £125.

Gift Aid helps us to raise even more funds for our lifesaving research.
