Would you like to offer your professional skills to support our clients?
About the opportunity
Are you a qualified counsellor able to support clients who are bereaved or who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition? Treetops offers counselling support to adults, children and young people who have a GP registered within the Southern Derby area. We offer this support in person, via telephone or Zoom. We have an excellent reputation for providing a high-quality professional service. As a result, we have good relationships with GP’s, other health service professionals, social care services and schools. Last year, we provided over 1,100 bereavement sessions for children and families and over 3,000 bereavement sessions for adults. In addition, we provided over 600 support sessions for people dealing with a life-limiting condition.Benefits for you
Above all, as a volunteer you’ll be joining a rich therapeutic community. You’ll receive a 2 hour supervision group every month as well as the opportunity to attend monthly CPD workshops. In addition, we are an organisational member of the BACP and will provide your insurance and DBS checks. Firstly, you will be asked to attend an informal interview and, if successful, attend a 2-day induction in May. After that, you will be ready to start working with our clients.
