We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Executive to help tell the story of Treetops Hospice. Through engaging content, powerful storytelling and effective social media campaigns, you’ll inspire supporters, raise awareness of our services and help make every day count for local people and families.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Treetops’ social media presence, shaping our strategy, growing our audiences and helping to increase awareness, support and engagement across Derbyshire.

Reporting to the Digital Lead, you’ll manage the organic and paid social media elements of campaigns, help to raise the profile of Treetops throughout central and southern Derbyshire; and engage the community in the mission of Treetops ensuring we’re educating and informing the public of our impact and how they can support Treetops.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for a passionate communicator to make a meaningful difference by sharing content that shapes our mission.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Media Executive:

  • Take ownership of social media channel performance, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively and accountability is maintained for results and corrective actions where required.
  • Manage the creativity and delivery of marketing campaigns via organic and paid social media content, ensuring it raises awareness of Treetops and encourages engagement
  • Create and lead on the Social Media Strategy, which is geared towards increasing audience growth and engagement
  • Build and maintain an active presence across local community groups, identifying opportunities to increase engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth.
  • Manage paid social media adverts in line with agreed budgets, monitoring cost-per-clicks (CPC) and conversions

Knowledge, skills and experience required for the Social Media Executive:

We’re looking for a creative, organised and results-driven marketer who understands how to create engaging content, build online communities and use data to continually improve performance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven track record of delivering successful social media paid and organic content, with strong engagement rates
  • Previous experience in a similar role and of creating social media content for either a B2C or B2B market
  • Understanding of social media algorithms and analytics tools
  • Ability to adapt content for SEO and UX purposes
  • Data analysis and evaluation of activity, including reach and engagement statistics
  • Ability to identify target audiences and appropriate channels

The Treetops Lottery is a highly successful form of fundraising for us. Since 1996, the Treetops Lottery and the people that play, have helped to raise over £8million for hospice care. We are looking to expand the team. Main Purpose: To promote Treetops lottery to the public through Door to Door promotions, at events, static venues and Treetops shops. To increase lottery memberships through these promotions. Key Responsibilities: Door to door promotions in the local area to raise awareness of the services that our charity provides Handing out leaflets & giving information about the lottery and the Hospice to the public at allocated venues & events Enlisting new members to the lottery by way of regular giving through monthly direct debits An induction and full training will be given for these activities. Health Care Assistant: Hospice at Home/Roaming Service

We are looking for motivated and passionate persons with previous experience working as a healthcare assistant to join our expanding Hospice at Home Team. The ideal person would already have experience working in the community setting with patients at the end-of-life. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families in the community. Our approach is predominantly one-to-one night shifts, so you will often be working independently using your own initiative in line with patient need and Registered Nurse support, and on occasions you may be required to work as part of a team on the Roaming Service. The applicants need to have NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care and must be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a passion for palliative and end-of-life care. We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and who demonstrate a caring, empathetic and compassionate nature. We work predominantly across South Derbyshire, covering areas from Swadlincote and up towards Matlock. We particularly encourage applicants who live on the outskirts of South Derbyshire (Ashbourne and Swadlincote), although we welcome people within our catchment area. This role involves working night shifts (22:00-07.00), including weekends and bank holidays. Our night staff currently self-rosters to ensure a good work-life balance is maintained. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as you will be travelling across the community within the hospice’s catchment area. You will also be expected to drive the Roaming Service vehicle. Treetops Hospice is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undergo relevant background checks, including a DBS check, and provide satisfactory references before starting the role.
