Way of the Roses

Take on an unforgettable challenge this June and cycle the breathtaking Way of the Roses in support of Treetops Hospice. This iconic 172‑mile coast‑to‑coast route is completed over several days, giving riders the chance to enjoy the scenery, chat, laugh, and experience the journey together. ⏰ Leaving Treetops at 8am on Friday 12 June 🚲 All transport and trip logistics included. Participants are required to pay for their own food and accommodation. This is a social, inclusive charity ride—perfect for anyone who wants to take part in something meaningful without the pressure of racing. Electric bikes are welcome, making the event accessible to riders of all abilities. Why your fundraising matters: All participants are asked to raise a minimum of £400, with every penny raised helping support our end-of-life care, bereavement support and wellbeing services throughout central and southern Derbyshire. RAM 5 Miler

Not ready for a half marathon? No worries, take on the RAM 5 Mile event for Treetops and help support local hospice care. Taking place on the same day as Ramathon, the RAM 5 Miler will see you start and finish at the same location as the Ramathon runners... Silk Mill Park. From there you'll run through the city centre for the first 2 miles, before making your way towards Pride Park Stadium, before heading back towards the city centre. Every step you take on the 5 mile course helps to fund our vital work through central and southern Derbyshire. We ask all Treetops runners to raise a minimum of £108, which is enough to fund a night of Hospice at Home care. Ramathon

Since 2018 the Ramathon has been a highly anticipated and popular event in the local running calendar. This year, we'd love you to lace up your trainers and take on the race for Treetops. Starting and finishing at Silk Mill Park, passing Pride Park Stadium, Alvaston Park and the stunning scenery of Elvaston Country Park, the Ramathon is the perfect race for all runners. Every step you take on the 13.1 mile, fast and flat course, in support of Treetops, helps to fund our vital work through central and southern Derbyshire. We ask all Treetops runners to raise a minimum of £108, which is enough to fund a night of Hospice at Home care. Tours

Book a Tour

Book a tour of your local hospice During the 90-minute tour over a cuppa and cake, we will tell you a little of our history and how Treetops has grown from a campaign run by local people to the organisation it is today and how, thanks to the support of our community, we continue to develop to meet the needs of local people. You will see our Wellbeing Space, the Cheetham Centre (adult counselling and therapy rooms), and The Saplings (our children’s counselling and therapy centre built by DIY SOS Big Build for BBC Children in Need 2023). You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the 12.5 acre grounds. Our tours are free of charge to those who attend. Tour Dates Tour dates are available on specific days in the form. [button url="https://www.treetopshospice.org.uk/book-a-tour-form/" template="block" class="btn-block--red"]Book onto a tour[/button] Joining a Tour There is a maximum number of 12 people for each tour, so we ask you to book a place/s. You must not bring additional people with you to a tour because we will not have planned for them. This means we will not have sufficient staff or catering arranged. If your friends and family are interested in joining you, please contact us at least two days before your tour date by calling us on 0115 949 1264 or dropping our team an email to see if we have spaces available. We regret that tours may be cancelled if less than five people book onto them.

Music in the Meadow

This event is an "In aid of Treetops Hospice" supported by P J Productions and Erewash Rotary Spend a summer afternoon in the beautiful grounds of Treetops Hospice, where live music and community spirit come together. Bring your picnic and refreshments (alcohol permitted) and enjoy timeless songs from Rolling Stones, REM, Oasis, Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison, Take That, Simon&Garfunkel and more. Relax, unwind, and support a wonderful cause. Please note, gates open at 4pm. You're welcome to bring chairs and tables, but gazebos aren't permitted.

Longshaw Walk

The climbs and descents are modest, and the obstacles are few. There'll be some superb views from the high ground of Higger Tor and the iron age walls of Carl Wark before heading out in the direction of Millstone Edge. This Walk starts from Longshaw visitor centre and finishes by the National Trust's Longshaw café. #TeamTreetops can refuel with a view over the valley and celebrate our phenomenal success! This will be a sociable walk with an emphasis on soaking up the views at a relaxed pace and moving safely through the rocky sections. Step out of your comfort zone to support your local hospice. Treetops Hospice are the Charity of the Year for this event! Taking place this September the race is a sell out every year and has become firm favourites in the region’s running calendar. The scenic, flat, fast, traffic-free road route is open to all abilities and is an excellent course for those looking to complete an easy flat 10k or for the runner who is chasing a personal best time. Bounce, climb and sprint your way through this incredible Inflatable course... an epic challenge for ages 5 and up. Taking place at Bakewell Showground on Saturday 12 September 2026, the Inflatable Fun Run invites you to tackle gigantic obstacles, slides and tunnels. With 30 inflatables to conquer, it’s a brilliant day out for individuals, families and teams. And the fun doesn’t stop there... Choose from a 2.5k (1 lap), 5k (2 laps), 10k (4 laps) or 15k (6 laps) distance to suit your team, each option is available to select on the registration form! Taking place on Friday 18 September (5-10pm), this year's Moonlight Walk will see hundreds of supporters sparkle as they walk in memory of loved ones, with family and friends, brightening up the Derby night, on our special route... and you could join them. By taking on either the 6K or 11K, fully-marshalled route, and fundraising for your local hospice, you'll help Treetops provide nursing care, palliative care and emotional support for adults and their families in central and southern Derbyshire. This year’s walk features a refreshed line‑up of entertainment, including choirs, drummers, circus performers and more. The theme is ‘cowboy and western’, with prizes to be won for best accessories and best team name! Whether you’re walking to support Treetops Hospice or in memory of someone special, every step you take will help make a difference. Doors open at 5pm and we’ll kick the night off in style with accessory stalls and plenty of entertainment, before the official warm-up ahead of the walks starting at 6.30pm. As you walk the route and reach Derby Cathedral, there will be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of someone special. Ticket Prices: Standard Tickets (from 7pm Friday 29 May) £18 – Adult £6 – Child (Ages 6-15) £24 – Family ticket (one adult + one child)   Why Your Fundraising Matters: Every step you take and pound you raise helps local people living with life-limiting illnesses receive the care they deserve. We suggest you raise a minimum of £50 per person in sponsorship. This could help a patient receive four hours of end-of-life nursing care, in the comfort of their own home. With your help, we want to raise £53,000 in sponsorship from this event which could provide over 490 local people living with a life-limiting illness, who have chosen to die in their own home, receive a night of Hospice at Home nursing care.
