Cycle, sled and trek in support of Treetops Hospice by taking on one of Global Adventures’ superb global challenges. Global Adventures specialise in creating life‑changing challenge events for groups and individuals, both here in the UK and across the world. Imagine this… you’re sitting in the doorway of an aircraft, your feet dangling below you. You look up and see the clouds above – you’re flying at 14,000 feet! Imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go, falling into the clouds below, free-falling at over 120mph before the parachute opens and you begin to descend over the beautiful local countryside. Self-fund your jump Self-fund your jump and raise as much as you can for Treetops Hospice. Please note that for tandem skydives there is a MAXIMUM WEIGHT (fully clothed) of 95 kg (15 stone) or 83 kg if you are less than 163cm (5ft 4in). This limit is in place for your own safety and that of the instructors * Each entrant is responsible for the deposit. Treetop pays the balance of costs.

Book a tour of your local hospice During the 90-minute tour over a cuppa and cake, we will tell you a little of our history and how Treetops has grown from a campaign run by local people to the organisation it is today and how, thanks to the support of our community, we continue to develop to meet the needs of local people. You will see our Wellbeing Space, the Cheetham Centre (adult counselling and therapy rooms), and The Saplings (our children’s counselling and therapy centre built by DIY SOS Big Build for BBC Children in Need 2023). You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the 12.5 acre grounds. Our tours are free of charge to those who attend. Tour Dates Tour dates are available on specific days in the form. You must not bring additional people with you to a tour because we will not have planned for them. This means we will not have sufficient staff or catering arranged. If your friends and family are interested in joining you, please contact us at least two days before your tour date by calling us on 0115 949 1264 or dropping our team an email to see if we have spaces available. We regret that tours may be cancelled if less than five people book onto them.

The climbs and descents are modest, and the obstacles are few. There'll be some superb views from the high ground of Higger Tor and the Iron Age Walls of Carl Wark before heading out in the direction of Millstone Edge. as your guided on a nine-mile walk across Derbyshire countryside. This Walk starts from Longshaw visitor centre and finishes by the National Trust's Longshaw café. #TeamTreetops can refuel with a view over the valley and celebrate our phenomenal success! This will be a sociable walk with an emphasis on soaking up the views at a relaxed pace and moving safely through the rocky sections. This time is not a free Will writing service, but an ideal step to take beforehand. Free Will support clinics are open to all adults. Treetops Hospice are the Charity of the Year for this event! Taking place this November the race is a sell out every year and has become firm favourites in the region’s running calendar. The Derby 10 Mile is a fast and flat road race that takes runners through the picturesque Elvaston Castle Country Park. This annual event, part of the popular RunDerby Race Series, attracts participants from across the UK and is an ideal challenge for runners of all abilities. Showcasing the scenic beauty of the Derbyshire countryside, the race offers a truly enjoyable experience for both experienced and novice runners alike. Every mile you complete helps fund vital end‑of‑life care across central and southern Derbyshire. We ask all Treetops runners to raise a minimum of £108, enough to fund a night of Hospice at Home care for a patient and their family. You are warmly invited to join us at our annual Light up a Life event at Treetops Hospice, Risley, as we come together to remember and celebrate the lives of those we love and miss. As part of this special evening, our beautiful lime tree will be illuminated in their memory, creating a meaningful tribute to those who hold a special place in our hearts. Our Light up a Life ceremony will include reflective readings, personal stories, and festive carols, offering a chance for remembrance, reflection and togetherness. Following the ceremony, you are invited to take part in our brand-new Lantern Walk, creating a beautiful procession of light and remembrance. Tealights will also be available. After the ceremony, join us in the Cheetham Centre, where you can enjoy festive refreshments and browse a selection of seasonal stalls. The event is free to attend, please book. Important information Limited seating will be available during the ceremony. The Lantern Walk will take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and we want you to jingle all the way as you join us for our fantastically festive event Santa’s on a Bike. Taking place on Saturday 19 December, this festive fundraiser will have the sleigh bells ringing and the wheels spinning as you head off on your ride from Treetops Hospice. The Route: The route will see you cycle a 14-mile loop starting and finishing at Treetops. As you cross the finish line, we’ll welcome you back with mince pies and a drink. The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster. Join 17,000 runners on the start line at Pall Mall, and wind your way past St Paul’s Cathedral, The Gherkin, The Tower of London, then down to The London Eye and Big Ben, before crossing the finish line by Downing Street! Ballot place London Landmarks Half Marathon hold a public ballot each year for a place in the event, if you are successful in the ballot, you can run for us and receive all the same perks as a charity place participant, with no set minimum sponsorship target.
